Are There Payment Plans Available For Defense Attorneys In Okaloosa County?

Yes, there are payment plans for Florida Criminal Defense Attorneys in Okaloosa County. When someone starts a google search, their first search might be something like, “find a criminal defense lawyer near me” or maybe they want to search “Local DUI and criminal defense lawyers” or something like that. That next search is going to be along the lines of “how much does it cost to defend a DUI in Destin, Florida?” Maybe they will ask, “Are there any DUI or criminal defense lawyers in Fort Walton Beach?” The answer to that question is yes. The method that we use is very simple. We avoid traditional finance. This is not a crack on traditional finance at all. For many people with good credit, or if they have the funds available, traditional finance works just fine.

However the average American in the United States does not have a perfect credit score, in large part due to the great recession. Therefore, we use non-traditional finance instead. We can have payments very low. We are talking under $250 here per month. By allowing people to pay over a longer period of time, they are able to get the representation they deserve without having any corners cut. Law firms that handle DUI and criminal cases, whether it is misdemeanors, or felonies, they take payment plans inside of the house, so to speak, have a real problem. That problem is called too many cases, and not enough time. If someone is going to put hard-earned money, and invest in legal defense, they need the best they can possibly get.

By searching out the payment link from one to five years, and allowing people to get a loan for up to $40,000, which actually exceeds what most people will ever need, they are able to have an affordable legal defense without harming their family, or living circumstances. There is a very big difference between a monthly payment of $150 to $250, and a monthly payment of $700 or $900. Those types of payments are not workable for people. Yet the traditional method of law firms that handle criminal cases, when it comes to financing legal fees, is to require half of the legal fee upfront, and then the remainder of the legal fee in a very short period before the case closes. Sometimes that period is less than three months, and it is not affordable for most people.

In a felony case, it might be five or six months, and that too can be unaffordable for most people. With this particular option, people have a different way to obtain legal services at a reasonable interest rate compared to what a credit card would charge while not having to go through the rigid credit requirements that most traditional lenders require. Non-traditional finance is going to be a growing trend in my view, and in our case, we simply send people a link, they click on that link, they fill in some information. It is not going to be like a regular credit application, because this is a non-traditional finance for criminal cases. After this process, they will know if they are approved within seconds.

Will everybody be approved? No. That would be unrealistic, and nobody would believe it for good reason. However, most people will be approved, and here is something to consider. If a board certified expert in criminal law is sending you a link to use non-traditional finance, they think that they can help you avoid jail or prison. People in jail or prison cannot pay legal fees. If we are talking about a family, member or friend that is paying for the case that may not factor in so much, but either way for a legal services consumer, this is a very good deal. This gives them a shot at having a fair trial, the best settlement, dismissal, or whatever can be obtained by hiring the best criminal defense lawyer that they can find.
